Handcuffed by the Wrist Band Controversy

Wrist Bands or NO Wrist Bands is an ongoing problem with Renaissance Tower. They implemented a wrist band program whose purpose was to cut back or eliminate people from the camp grounds from coming over and using the amenities. Three out of four regimes have continually voted against the property wide implementation of this policy. 2 Years year ago the Tower moved forward to implement the policy that anyone using their (The Tower's) amenities must have a wrist band on at all times without consent of the other regimes. These areas included the picnic area, basketball courts, volleyball court and pool. This program was funded by the Tower and was to only be for a trial period last summer from Memorial Day until Labor Day. They were then going to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. According to security authorities there were only 7 incidents were trespassers were asked to leave. Early last year they had decided that even though they don't have any basis to measure the success of the program they would move forward again this year. The master board once again did not approve of this program. This problem causes confusion with guests and owners alike. We all should be moving forward to improve the property and the customer experience. The other regimes conducted a survey of all their owners and it was voted down not to have wristbands. The tower never conducted a survey of all their owners, they conducted a straw poll with about 30 owners and said that they wanted the program. We believe it should be one way or the other either we all have wristbands or no one has wristbands let’s stop confusing our guest experience.
