The Agness Wine Cellars venture grew out of a joint effort with the help of my family and friends along with special thanks to Paul Brock of Silver Thread support, and the many Finger Lakes winemakers who after tasting our wines encouraged me to open a commercial winery in New York State. 24 Medals in less than two years! It is amazing that everyone that has tasted Agness Wine Cellars products first question is when can I buy some?

Randy has recently been involved in the New York Wine Industry being a degreed chemist and through formal Enology and Viticulture coursework, working at notable wineries in the Finger Lakes and producing ten different wines over several vintages in boutique style quantities. Additionally, Randy writes freelance articles about the wine industry for Rochester Women magazine, Times of Wayne County and Finger Lakes Wine Gazette quickly becoming a recognized figure throughout the Finger Lakes region of New York.
Agness Wine Cellars believes in producing very good wines that are from somewhere with the vintage, the American Viticultural Area and the variety of grape indicated on the label. Agness wines are not cut, topped, or blended to extend with other wine grapes. The idea is to preserve the great natural taste of the variety and of the Finger Lakes. That is what makes Agness Wine Cellars different from many of our competitors. Our wines are distinct as the Terrior of the Finger Lakes gives the flavor as sense of place.
