The Newport Seafood &  Wine Festival is the oldest continuous and prestigious Amateur  Wine Competition in the Pacific NW.

2014 American Wine Society National Amateur Wine Competition -

 

The American Wine Society have conducted this prestigious Amateur  Wine Competition annually for over 40 years along with a label competition. American Wine Society (AWS) certified judges to score and critique submitted wines.  To receive an award from these trained Wine Judges is the highest acknowledgement of a winemaker's skills.  Agness Wine Cellars submitted under the following Wine Classications - Riesling, White Hybrid Blend, Red Hybrid Blend, Catawba and Niagara wines.  Hope-Faith-Love-Luck.

Agness Wine Cellars received a verbal commitment for up to 6000 cases of wine per year by World Class Wholesale's President Chris Tigani - First targeted regions - Mid-Atlantic.    Four wines shipped to World Class Wholesale - Delaware, and Ulitmate Distributors -Georgia , now Washburn Wine Company, DC, Maryland & Virginia is ready to complete a taste try-out.  Hoping to receive commitments from Distributors in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Year after year the WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition is the largest of its kind in the world. Entries were received from all 50 American states, 8 Canadian provinces and 9 different countries for the 2014 competition resulting in a total of 3,111 wines entered.
