AGNESS WINE CELLARS
The idea for Agness Wine Cellars began with travel to the premier wine regions of France, Germany and Austria, then to the West Coast Sonoma Valley, Oregon and Washington. Somehow these visits helped to form a realization that great wines can be made in New York where the climate, soil geology, and geography characteristics create a perfect terroir. Producing wine in the Finger Lakes means capturing the unique complexity and expressiveness of the Rieslings and the fantastic variety of wine grapes. And matching the rich history of Irish winemaking provided the proper context to join all these elements together.
Our goal is simply to produce good Finger Lakes wine be to enjoyed as part of your daily life, educate wine consumers to allow for informed choices to compliment and contrast food pairings, and to provide the opportunity to drink wines specifically produced to be consumed for the vast variety of lifes adventures, gatherings and other social occassions.

100% Finger Lakes Merlot & Cabernet Franc Traditional Right Bank 50% / 50% Bordeaux style blend aged in French Oak. Smooth and dry from start to the finish. Black cherries and red raspberries flavor the blend against the added complexity of nutmeg. Cafe Noir is 100% Finger Lakes from equal portions of DeChaunac, Chambourcin and Noriet grapes.
